Foreign police
If you are a foreigner from NON Europian country you are supposed to come to foreign police in the Czech republic few days after your arrival to Czech. And also if you stay here longer time you need to visit a foreign police ..... Unfortunately 90% of police man there can't speak English so you should be prepared to use your Czech language or you should ask somebody to help you with translation. Here you can also find some usefull information to be prepared and to have all the necessity by you.
For the foreign police you need:
1. passport (date of expiration should be at least couple months after supposed date of finishing studies)
2. filled in form for an extension of a visa, the green one (in a box in front of the police office or in the office)
3. confirmation of studies from the university
4. confirmation of accommodation from dorms or your landlord (either a dorms form or there is a form in the box in front of the police office) - download the form. The signature of the landlord has to be verified at a post office or any other state authority
5. health insurance agreement/contract + confirmation of payment - receipt - more info here
6. credit card with your name (or at worst statement of bank account)
7. 1000 CZK stamp (orange one, possible to buy at newstand at the foreign police building in the 1st floor, opposite to the information centre or at any post office)
Additional info:
- you can apply for the extention of the visa 120 days before it expires
- by the law they have 30 days to process your appilcation, do not hesitate to apply earlier
